Christmas Food Drive and Palm Pilot Giveaway

South Surrey, BC - October 19, 2005 – In early September, Express Computers sponsored its first ever food drive.  With Christmas just around the corner, and again in partnership with the Peace Arch Community Services – Food Bank, we are asking for your support with our Christmas Food Drive.  We will be collecting food donations from the first week of November right through Christmas eve for the benefit of PACS Food Bank.

Express Computers will have a bin where you can drop off your food donation when you come in.  With each donation, you will get a chance to be entered in our weekly draw.  We will be giving away a Palm Pilot every week during the Food Drive.  All entries will also qualify for our grand prize draw for a 19” LCD computer display.  The grand prize draw will be held on Christmas eve and the winner will be notified by email.

Peace Arch Community Services Food bank is currently providing food and related services to approximately 500 people every week. Last year PACS Food Bank served 1671 people, 1/3 of those were children (596).  The PACS Food Bank – in operation for 22 years, is entirely funded by community donations. Peace Arch Community Services is a community-based non-profit organization which, since 1978, has been providing a wide range of services to individuals and groups in White Rock and Surrey area.
